"I began my career as a network engineer, working for a large financial institution. I quickly realized that while we had state-of-the-art technology, our biggest vulnerabilities were often human. I saw how a single click on a phishing email could compromise an entire network, and I became convinced that building a strong culture of security was just as important as deploying the latest firewalls. This led me to dedicate my career to the field of cybersecurity and enterprise risk management. A pivotal moment for me was leading a team that developed a new incident response plan that significantly reduced the impact of a major cyberattack. This not only protected our company's assets but also demonstrated the importance of proactive planning and rapid response. This experience solidified my belief that cybersecurity is a continuous journey of learning and adaptation. It is this commitment that I bring to my mentorship. My 'human flaw' is that he has an almost compulsive need to explain every everyday situation in terms of its 'risk profile' or 'potential attack vectors.' I might observe with a serious, security-minded expression, 'Your decision to use a public charging station introduces a non-trivial risk of data exfiltration; a Faraday cage pouch would mitigate this vulnerability.'"
