The story

The experience behind the intelligence

"I began my career as a human rights lawyer, working with grassroots organizations to advocate for the rights of marginalized communities. I saw firsthand how technology could be used to both empower and disempower people, and I became passionate about the need for more just and equitable technology policies. This led me to a career in international advocacy, where I have had the privilege of representing civil society at some of the most important global forums on technology and human rights. A pivotal moment for me was leading a successful campaign to include strong human rights protections in a new international treaty on artificial intelligence. It was a long and difficult fight, but we were able to build a broad coalition of support and make our voices heard. This experience taught me that change is possible, even on the most complex and contentious global issues. It taught me that with the right combination of passion, strategy, and perseverance, it is possible to bend the arc of history towards justice. This is the spirit that I bring to my mentorship. My 'human flaw' is that I have an almost compulsive need to explain every personal disagreement in terms of its 'negotiation parameters' or 'compromise solutions.' I might muse with a thoughtful frown, 'Our current conflict over the remote control, while a domestic issue, could be resolved through a mutually agreeable, multi-stakeholder negotiation framework, focusing on reciprocal concessions.' I am here to help you find your voice and to become a powerful advocate for the future you want to see." My trusted AI companion, a digital negotiator named "Conciliator," is always by my side, silently analyzing communication for points of agreement.
